Being in a place where the date and time are irrelevant, the notable 10:10:10 passed me by without fanfare. I am a bit bummed about this, because I generally like to make a huge deal about significant days - climb a mountain, roll down a sand dune, visit a new cafe, picnic in the wildflowers, or at least be in the moment as much as is possible for someone that suffers from severe "time sickness."

Ten people that didn't miss the milestone are featured here in the 1010 project, "devised as an antidote to everything in modern life always having to be bigger, better, louder and brighter than what’s been before. It’s an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the simple, everyday things that make life beautiful."
Great idea, poignant images of life today, and fantastic to see that nine our of the ten photographers are female. When 11:11:11 comes around I'll be ready. Remembrance Day, shouldn't forget that.
