Here it is, my first ever real painting, completed and hanging in the studio. After starting with a flourish, my second lesson saw me nervous and sweating, afraid to commit to the bold brush strokes that were my aim. Guru Tom was patient and held my hand through the scary middle steps and a couple of poorly placed dabs. After an overly wet layer I stood the painting up and the colour ran down in streams, causing me to hop about and squeal. It sat in the corner for a week before I snuck up on it again for the final session.
