Jenggala Keramik began in 1976 as a small experimental cottage industry in Sanur, Bali, with the collaboration of the late New Zealand designer-potter Brent Hesselyn, the late Indonesian hotelier Wija Waworuntu and his daughter Ade. Various international and local talents have contributed to their development over the last twenty years, and today, a team of artisans in a massive factory in Jimbaran produce high quality, handcrafted ceramic and glassware of critical acclaim for the international market.
The gallery and showroom is a modern spacious facility, and worth a visit to see their extensive range and have a coffee in the air conditioned cafe. Then get yourself to their factory outlet on Sunset Road, Legian (near the intersection of Jalan Imam Bonjol : map). Slightly imperfect, marked or wonky pieces, overstock or end of line products make their way here and are sold for a fraction of the price.
Open 7 days from 9.30am - 5.30pm.
